Château Paloumey 2010
* Required fields
It has to be said that 2010 is an exceptional vintage! After 2009, we would never have dared to believe that Mother Nature might be equally generous two years in a row.
Winter and spring did little to raise our hopes: flowering was late, disturbed by the rain, thereby reducing the chances of good yields, but not of good quality, quite the opposite.
The summer of 2010 brought extraordinary weather conditions with lots of sunshine and high temperatures. The lack of water helped to concentrate the berries, which had had plenty of time to ripen before the start of the harvests at the end of September.

A great vintage for Château Paloumey, of which my team and I are proud. The quest for balance was the key to the 2010 harvests, in order to obtain beautiful fruity flavours, a pleasant freshness and ripe, silky tannins. The potential of Château Paloumey 2010 to age is undeniable. If you want to drink it now, open it carefully a few hours in advance, otherwise it would be best to forget about in your cellar for a few years, until it reaches its peak!
